PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia hopes to see more investments from China in Tanjung Malim, Perak, as it strives to be the biggest automotive city in the region.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said he hoped to see an increased annual production target of 500,000 vehicles.

“China’s vice president (Han Zheng) is expected to arrive in Malaysia in a few days.

“I have arranged a visit to Tanjung Malim (in hopes) to increase investments from the previously announced production target of half million vehicles,” he said at the Prime Minister’s Department monthly assembly today.
